- Metabolism of the fungicides benomyl, triforine, and triadimefon and of the insecticide aldicarb in cultivated plants. Results and generalizations. Rouchaud, J.; Moons, C.; Meyer, J. A. 56-40-6 and 106-48-9 are also occured in this study. (Fac. Sci. Agron., Univ. Cathol. Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve B-1348, Belg.). Rev. Agric. (Brussels), 36(4), 1163-77 (French) 1983. CODEN: RVAGAE. ISSN: 0035-1296. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 4 (Toxicology) Section cross-reference(s): 5, 17 The metab. of benomyl [17804-35-2] was studied in melon plants, carrot, strawberry, and apple; that of triforine [26644-46-2] and triadimefon [43121-43-3] in barley; that of aldicarb [116-06-3] in the leaf and root of sugar beet. The results lead to generalizations about the relations between plant physiol. and plant metab. of the foreign compds.; also about the applications of the metab. studies to the est. of the quality of the plant food from the point of view of its contamination by foreign compds. The metabolites of benomyl were MBC [10605-21-7], 2-AB (I) [934-32-7], benzimidazole [51-17-2], o-aminobenzonitrile [1885-29-6], o-phenylenediamine [95-54-5], and aniline [62-53-3]. The triforine metabolites were TF/2 (II) [31896-10-3], piperazine [110-85-0], iminodiacetic acid [142-73-4], glycine [56-40-6], serine [56-45-1], and 2-aminoethanol [141-43-5]. The triadimefon metabolites were triadimenol [55219-65-3] and 4-chlorophenol [106-48-9], whereas those of aldicarb were SO-aldicarb [1646-87-3] and SO2-aldicarb [1646-88-4], and their resp. oximes, nitriles, and alcs. .

Lukens, Herbert R.; Williams, Colin B.; Levison, Stuart A.; Dandliker, Walter B.; Murayama, Dennis; Baron, Ronald L. (IRT Corp., San Diego, Calif., USA). Environ. Sci. Technol., 11(3), 292-7 (English) 1977. CODEN: ESTHAG. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) The development of an immunol. assay for 2-aminobenzimidazole (I) [934-32-7], the degrdn. product of several carbamate pesticides such as benomyl (II) [17804-35-2], is described. The specific technique is a fluorescence polarization immunoassay, and it may be applicable to the detection of many low-mol.-wt. org. contaminants of org. concern. The prepn. In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 62530-07-8 and 17804-35-2 of the 2 required reagents, namely a fluorescent conjugate of the contaminant of interest, together with an antibody to the contaminant, is described in detail. The specific contaminant chosen for this study was I, a metabolite of certain fungicide agents used in agriculture, and the particular fluorescent moiety chosen to form the conjugate with 2-aminobenzimidazole was fluorescein [2321-07-5]. A successful demonstration of the assay is accomplished, and a detection sensitivity in the subnanogram/ml range obtained. .
