Herbicide tolerance of sainfoin
Herbicide tolerance of sainfoin. James, T. K.; Atkinson, G. C. (Ruakura Agric. Res. Cent., Minist. Agric. Fish., Hamilton, N. Z.). Proc. N. Z. Weed Pest Control Conf., 31, 121-3 (English) 1978. CODEN: PZWPAL. ISSN: 0370-2804. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) In field expts.; cyanazine [21725-46-2], simazine [122-34-9], and terbacil [5902-51-2], and to a lesser degree paraquat [4685-14-7], metribuzin [21087-64-9], and oryzalin [19044-88-3] increased the dry matter yield of sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia). Hexazinone [51235-04-2] was strongly phytotoxic to sainfoin, and asulam [3337-71-1] and 2,2-DPA [75-99-0] were moderately phytotoxic. In field and greenhouse expts., sainfoin showed good tolerance during establishment to trifluralin [1582-09-8], EPTC [759-94-4], propyzamide [23950-58-5], and MCPB [94-81-5].
The relative tolerance of red clover, lucerne and sainfoin to eleven herbicides applied postemergence
The relative tolerance of red clover, lucerne and sainfoin to eleven herbicides applied postemergence. Standell, Christine J. (Weed Res. Organ., Begbroke Hill/Yarnton/Oxford OX5 1PF, UK). Tests Agrochem. Cultiv., 4, 96-7 (English) 1983. CODEN: TACUDC. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Dinoseb-amine [71371-62-5] (1.68-336 kg/ha) and diclofop-methyl [51338-27-3] (1.32 kg/ha) were relatively safe to red clover (Trifolium pratense), lucerne (Medicago sativa), and sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia); MCPB [94-81-5] (2.24-4.48 kg/ha) severely damaged red clover and lucerne. ARD 34/62 [74051-80-2], alloxydin-sodium [55635-13-7] and propyzamide [23950-58-5] were relatively safe. Carbetamide [16118-49-3] (2.1 kg/ha) was safe to lucerne and sainfoin; PP009 [69806-50-4] (1-2 kg/ha) safe for all 3 species; chlorpropham [101-21-3] (1-2 kg/ha) and perfluidone [37924-13-3] (1-2 kg/ha) safe for lucerne and sainfoin; and WL 49818 [93443-71-1] (0.75-1.50 kg/ha) safe for red clover and lucerne.
