DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 4 (Toxicology) The median lethal toxicity of insecticides to fish decreased as follows: for the snake skin gourami (Trichogaster pectaralis, chlorpyrifos (I) [2921-88-2], aldicarb [116-06-3], isoprocarb [2631-40-5], BHC [58-89-9]-carbaryl [63-25-2] mixt., and dioxacarb [6988-21-2]; for the nile tilapia (Tilapia nilotica), chlorpyrifos, phorate [298-02-2], disulfoton [298-04-4], BHC, carbaryl, aldicarb, isopropcarb, disulfoton [298-04-4], heptachlor [76-44-8], phosfolan [947-02-4], propoxur [114-26-1], BHC-carbaryl mixt., dioxacarb, and biothion; for the common carp (Cyprinus carpis), chlorpyrifos, disulfoton, phorate, aldicarb, BHC, carbaryl, disulfoton, heptachlor, propoxur, isoprocarb, phosfolan, BHC-carbaryl mixt., dioxacarb, and biothion [3383-96-8]; for the mosquito fish (Gambusia holbrooki), disulfoton, phorate, heptachlor, carbaryl, BHC, propoxur, fenitrothion [122-14-5], disulfoton, fenitrothion-malathion [121-75-5] mixt., malathion, diazinon [333-41-5], phosfolan, and biothion; and for the walking catfish (Clarius batrachus), disulfoton, BHC, phorate, carbaryl, heptachlor, malathion, fenitrothion-malthion mixt., phosfolan, propoxur, fenitrothion, disulfoton, diazinon, and biothion. Insecticides which caused acute toxicity to fish at their recommended rates of application were aldicarb, BHC, carbaryl, chlorpyrifos, disulfoton, heptachlor, and phorate. They should not be used in pest control in paddy fields and water resources.Except for chemicals metioned above, 116-06-3 and 6988-21-2 are also used. .

CODEN: AGRRAA. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) Of 5 insecticides tested in the field against the white fly (Bemisia tabaci), leafhopper (Empoasca), and green bug (Nezara viridula) on L. aegyptiaca dimethoate [60-51-5] was the most effective, followed by lannate [16752-77-5] and cyolane [947-02-4]. Cyolane was the most effective against the armyworm (Spodoptera littoralis and S. exigua), followed by nolotran [5598-13-0] and lannate.
