DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Cidial [2597-03-7] (1000 ppm), cytrolane [950-10-7] (1000 ppm), dimecron [13171-21-6] (200 ppm), Meral [95032-17-0] (400 ppm), Supracide [950-37-8] (400 ppm), and San 197 [38260-54-7] (200 ppm) caused 100% mortality of L. africanus 24 h after treatment; cyolane [947-02-4] (1250 ppm) and xylophan [95032-65-8] (25,000 ppm) caused 99% mortality. From the median lethal concns. (LC50), Cidial (LC50 14 ppm) was the most toxic and xylophan (LC50 1320 ppm) was the least toxic. These insecticides were used as solns. in kerosine and applied by brush to the boards. The best residual effect was obtained with xylophan.
