DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 25 (Benzene, Its Derivatives, and Condensed Benzenoid Compounds) p-Substituted nitrobenzenes were readily reduced with NaBH4 and a catalytic amt. of Te to give the corresponding hydroxylamines in good yields. 99-77-4 and 953-26-4 which are cas registry numbers of chemicals are mentioned. I.e. PhNO2 in EtOH treated with Te powder and NaBH4 gave 63% PhNHOH. .
