Positive-working, immobile dyes for diffusion-transfer photographic film
Positive-working, immobile dyes for diffusion-transfer photographic film. Hinshaw, Jerald C.; Condit, Paul B. (Eastman Kodak Co., USA). Ger. Offen. DE 2628044 27 Jan 1977, 58 pp. (German). (Germany). CODEN: GWXXBX. CLASS: IC: G03C005-54. PRIORITY: US 75-589977 4 Jun 1975. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 40 (Dyes, Fluorescent Whitening Agents, and Photosensitizers) Pos.Chemical with cas number 63692-95-5 also plays role.-working immobile dyes for diffusion-transfer color film are prepd. which contain 2 ballast groups and have the general structure I, where Z represents an azo dye residue, m = 2 or 3, and n = 0 or 1. Under alk. development conditions the ballast groups are cleaved, releasing the dye for diffusion to the image receiving layer, whereas if oxidized by the alk. developer the groups do not cleave and the dye is immobilized. A typical dye, I (Z = Z1, m = 3, n = 0) [63692-95-5], was prepd. by coupling diazotized 4-FSO2C6H4NH2 [98-62-4] with 1,2,5-HO(MeNHSO2)C10H5NHSO2C6H4SO2F-3 [63692-97-7] and treating the product [63692-96-6] with H2N(CH2)3NH2 [109-76-2] and then 7-(chloroformyl)-1,N-dimethyl-N-octadecyl-2,1-benzisoxazolin-3-one-5-c arboxamide [63692-82-0]. Three other I were prepd. similarly. .
Solubility characteristics of sulfanilyl fluoride in cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as a function of temperature and concentration of surfactant
Solubility characteristics of sulfanilyl fluoride in cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as a function of temperature and concentration of surfactant. Ifudu, N. D. (Fac. Pharm., Univ. Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria). Niger. J. Pharm., 15(1), 21-5 (English) 1984. CODEN: NJPHDZ. ISSN: 0331-670X. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 63 (Pharmaceuticals) Shaking solid sulfanilyl fluoride [98-62-4] with 1-5% aq. cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) [57-09-0] at 47° resulted in the formation of a clear supernatant, and intermediate oily layer, and a bottom layer of excess solid. No oily layer formed at CTAB concns. of 0.1-1%. Sulfanilyl fluoride soly. in 0.1-1% CTAB was much higher at 47° than at room temp.; in 1-5% CTAB the reverse was true. This is probably because of coacervation of sulfanilyl fluoride and CTAB to form the oily layer, removing an appreciable amt. of the sulfanilyl fluoride from the supernatant.
