DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 30 (Terpenes and Terpenoids) By simple procedures six limonoids, com. not available, belonging to the biosynthetic pathways of the limonin and of the 7a-acetate were synthesized. In particular, limonol and limonyl acetate were prepd. from limonin and obacunone, 7a-obacunol, 7a-obacunyl acetate and deacetylnomilin were generated from the nomilin we have prepd. The products were purified and characterized by thin layer chromatog. (TLC), high performance liq. chromatog. (HPLC) and electrospray mass spectroscopy (ESI - MS). In this work, we demonstrated that these six synthetic limonoids are quickly obtained by simple and fast method with good yields of reaction. .
