Its broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties help to prevent contamination and maintain high standards of hygiene in the food industry.
Mechanism of action
Potassium monopersulfate undergoes a chain reaction in water, continuously generating new ecological oxygen and oxidation of free hydroxyl groups, which can change the permeability of cell membranes and rupture them, achieving the purpose of killing bacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses. In addition, new ecological oxygen, hypochlorous acid, and free hydroxyl can kill microorganisms at the same time, and achieve the maximum synergistic sterilization effect after dissolving.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 10058-23-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,0,0,5 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 10058-23:
(7*1)+(6*0)+(5*0)+(4*5)+(3*8)+(2*2)+(1*3)=58
58 % 10 = 8
So 10058-23-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Thermochemistry of inorganic sulfur compounds, V. Peroxymonosulfate revisited: standard molar enthalpies of formation of KHSO5*H2O(cr), KHSO5(cr), and HSO5-(aq)
O'Hare, P. A. G.,Basile, L.,Appelman, E. H.
, p. 473 - 480 (1985)
The enthalpy of reaction of pure KHSO5*H2O with HI(aq) has been determined calorimetrically. This result has been combined with auxiliary enthalpy-of-solution measurements to yield the standard molar enthalpy of formation: ΔfH0m
