Description
Sulphur Brown 1 is a dark brown powder that exhibits brown light olive to yellow brown color. It is soluble in water, resulting in a green black or brown color, but becomes insoluble after boiling for a long time. When dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid, it turns brown and releases hydrogen sulfide gas. Upon dilution, a brown precipitate is formed. In sodium hydroxide solution, it appears green.Uses
