13780-42-2 Usage
Chemical Properties
octahedral crystal(s); formed by dissolving Ga2O3 or Ga(OH)3 in sulfuric acid and precipitating with ether or alcohol [MER06]
Uses
Gallium(III) sulfate hydrate is used in the preparation of other gallium compounds such as gallium oxide. It is supported on silica gel act as a solid acid catalyst, which is employed as a heterogeneous catalyst for the esterification of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and heptanol to give n-heptyl p-hydroxybenzoate. On reacting with strong acid cation ion exchange resin, it exhibits excellent catalytic activity, which is used for synthesizing amyl hexanoate.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 13780-42-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,3,7,8 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 13780-42:
(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*0)+(2*4)+(1*2)=102
102 % 10 = 2
So 13780-42-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
