General Description
1-(3-Chlorophenyl)imidazolidin-2-one, also known as Clonixin, is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of organic compounds known as phenylimidazolidines. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Clonixin works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are involved in the body's response to pain and inflammation. It is commonly used to treat a variety of conditions, including arthritis, menstrual cramps, and post-surgical pain. Clonixin is available in various forms, including tablets, capsules, and injections, and is typically used under the supervision of a healthcare professional due to its potential side effects and interactions with other medications.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 14088-98-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,4,0,8 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 14088-98:
(7*1)+(6*4)+(5*0)+(4*8)+(3*8)+(2*9)+(1*8)=113
113 % 10 = 3
So 14088-98-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

supporting information; experimental part, p. 3232 - 3235 (2010/08/07)
A mild, general, convenient and practical methodology for the selective copper-mediated mono N-arylation of unprotected 2-imidazolidinone was developed. Strong electron-donating groups and free hydroxy and amino groups on the aryl iodide substrates were well tolerated. The use of n-butanol as the solvent for the copper-catalysed mono-arylation of 2-imidazolidinone is unprecedented.
