146394-99-2 Usage
General Description
Carbamic acid, (4-amino-2-butenyl)-, 1,1-dimethylethyl ester, (E)- (9CI), also known as carbofuran, is a highly toxic and potentially carcinogenic carbamate insecticide and nematicide. It is commonly used in agriculture to control a wide range of pests, including soil-dwelling insects, nematodes, and arthropods. Carbofuran works by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, disrupting the nervous system of target organisms. Due to its high toxicity to humans and other non-target organisms, carbofuran has been banned in several countries and its use is heavily restricted in others. Despite these restrictions, it is still used illicitly in some regions for its potent pesticidal properties.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 146394-99-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,4,6,3,9 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 146394-99:
(8*1)+(7*4)+(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*4)+(2*9)+(1*9)=162
162 % 10 = 2
So 146394-99-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
