1,2-Dichloroethene-D2 is a chemical compound that is also known as deuterated 1,2-Dichloroethylene. It is a heavy isotopic form of 1,2-Dichloroethylene, which is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor. 1,2-Dichloroethene-D2 is used as a solvent and in the manufacture of other chemicals, as well as in the production of plastics. It is also used in the production of adhesives, and as a solvent for aerosol formulations. The compound is also used in the production of rubber and adhesives. It is classified as a hazardous substance, and exposure to high levels of 1,2-Dichloroethene-D2 can cause irritation to the skin, eyes, and respiratory system.
