18496-40-7 Usage
Chemical Properties
Platinum(II) Nitrate Solution is a reddish-brown liquid, which is mainly used to prepare palladium-containing compounds, heterogeneous catalysts and coatings of the material surface. Platinum nitrate solution is very susceptible to hydrolysis leading progressively from an increase in apparent viscosity, to gel formation, and in extreme cases, to complete precipitation of orange Pt (IV) oxide.
Uses
Platinum(II) Nitrate Solution is one of the indispensable raw materials for purifying the exhaust gas of automobiles and motorcycles. It is also an important intermediate for the preparation of other homogeneous catalysts, and an indispensable catalyst raw material for petrochemical, fine chemical and other industries.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 18496-40-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,8,4,9 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 18496-40:
(7*1)+(6*8)+(5*4)+(4*9)+(3*6)+(2*4)+(1*0)=137
137 % 10 = 7
So 18496-40-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
