Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 191591-41-0 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,9,1,5,9 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 191591-41:
(8*1)+(7*9)+(6*1)+(5*5)+(4*9)+(3*1)+(2*4)+(1*1)=150
150 % 10 = 0
So 191591-41-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

1,3-Dichloro-4,4,4-trifluorobut-2-ene as a 4-carbon building block containing a trifluoromethyl group
Van Der Puy, Michael
, p. 187 - 191 (2007/10/03)
The preparation, isomerization, and utility of CF3CCl=CHCH2Cl as a 4-carbon reagent for the incorporation of a trifluoromethyl group is described. The regiochemistry observed for charged intermediates derived from CF3CCl=CHCH2Cl was consistent with MNDO calculated partial charges at C-1 and C-3. The anion-stabilizing and cation-destabilizing effects of the trifluoromethyl group were dominant.
