121367-05-3 Usage
Uses
(S)-(+)-Dimethindene Maleate is a subtype-selective mAChR M2 antagonist and histamine H1 receptor antagonist.
Biological Activity
Enantiomer that is a subtype-selective M 2 muscarinic receptor antagonist (pK i values are 7.08, 7.78, 6.70 and 7.00 for M 1 , M 2 , M 3 and M 4 receptors respectively). Also H 1 histamine receptor antagonist (pK i = 7.48).
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 121367-05-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,2,1,3,6 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 121367-05:
(8*1)+(7*2)+(6*1)+(5*3)+(4*6)+(3*7)+(2*0)+(1*5)=93
93 % 10 = 3
So 121367-05-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Metabolism of dimetindene in rats
Radler,Wermeille,Blaschke
, p. 1086 - 1092 (2007/10/02)
The preparative separation of dimetindene (CAS 5636-83-9) enantiomers was achieved by fractionated crystallization of the diastereomeric tartrate salts. HPLC on α-AGP (α1-acid glycoprotein) was used for confirmation of the enantiomeric purity.
