1317-39-1 Usage

General Description

Copper(I) oxide, also known as cuprous oxide, is a chemical compound with the formula Cu2O. It is a reddish-brown solid that is insoluble in water and has a wide range of applications. This chemical is a popular ingredient in the production of antifouling paints, as it is an effective biocide against marine organisms. In addition, it is used in the production of colored glass, ceramics, and as a catalyst in various organic reactions. Copper(I) oxide is also being studied for its potential applications in electronics, solar cells, and as a potential antiviral and antibacterial agent. Despite its potential utility, exposure to copper(I) oxide should be limited, as it can be toxic in high concentrations.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1317-39-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,3,1 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1317-39:
(6*1)+(5*3)+(4*1)+(3*7)+(2*3)+(1*9)=61
61 % 10 = 1
So 1317-39-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
