15145-37-6 Usage
General Description
N-(2-Chloroethyl)-N'-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)urea, also known as Linuron, is a white crystalline solid chemical compound. Known for its pesticide properties, it is commonly used as an herbicide to control the growth of grass and weeds in crops such as soybeans, carrots, potatoes, and corn. Linuron works by inhibiting photosynthesis in target plants, thereby preventing their growth. Prolonged exposure and ingestion of this compound can be hazardous to humans and can cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Linuron has been classified as a possible human carcinogen by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 15145-37-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,5,1,4 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 15145-37:
(7*1)+(6*5)+(5*1)+(4*4)+(3*5)+(2*3)+(1*7)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 15145-37-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
