The invention provides an aromatic compound containing a tetraphenylethylene structure and a preparation method and application thereof, belonging to the technical field of fluorescence sensing. The preparation method of the aromatic compound containing the tetraphenylethylene structure comprises the following steps: reacting a halogenated aromatic ring with borate under anhydrous and anaerobic conditions to obtain an aryl borate intermediate; and carrying out a SUZUKI reaction on the aryl borate intermediate and halogenated tetraphenyl ethylene to obtain the aromatic compound containing the tetraphenylethylene structure. The aromatic compound containing the tetraphenyl ethylene structure provided by the invention has a relatively large conjugated structure and a wide charge delocalizationrange, and the unique three-dimensional configuration of the aromatic compound is beneficial for obtaining a good aggregation structure, so the aromatic compound has good application prospects in thefields of sensing technologies and detection functions, is high in practicability and shows relatively high popularization and application values.

Tetraphenylethene (TPE) substituted phenanthroimidazoles 3a and 3b were designed and synthesized by the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction. They show reversible mechanochromic behavior with contrast colors between sky-blue and yellow green. The powder XRD stu
