166981-13-1 Usage
Description
1-[11-(dodecylamino)-10-hydroxyundecyl]-3,7-dimethyl-3,7-dihydro-1H-purine-2,6-dione, also known as CT-2584, is a cytotoxic agent that disrupts phospholipid biosynthesis by inhibiting CTP:choline-phosphate cytidylyltransferase. This leads to an increase in phosphatidylinositol and a decrease in phosphatidylcholine, causing a loss of membrane integrity, particularly in mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum. CT-2584 has demonstrated activity against a broad spectrum of tumor cell lines, including multi-drug resistant ones.
Uses
Used in Oncology:
CT-2584 is used as a cytotoxic agent for the treatment of various types of cancer. Its mechanism of action involves the alteration of phospholipid metabolism, leading to the disruption of membrane integrity in cancer cells, particularly in mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum. This results in the inhibition of tumor growth and the killing of cancer cells. CT-2584 has shown activity against a wide range of tumor cell lines, including those that are multi-drug resistant.
Used in Drug Development:
CT-2584 is used in the development of new anticancer drugs. Its unique mechanism of action and broad-spectrum activity against various tumor cell lines make it a promising candidate for further research and development. 1-[11-(dodecylamino)-10-hydroxyundecyl]-3,7-dimethyl-3,7-dihydro-1H-purine-2,6-dione can be further optimized and combined with other therapeutic agents to enhance its efficacy and overcome drug resistance in cancer treatment.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 166981-13-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,6,6,9,8 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 166981-13:
(8*1)+(7*6)+(6*6)+(5*9)+(4*8)+(3*1)+(2*1)+(1*3)=171
171 % 10 = 1
So 166981-13-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
