Usage

General Description

1H-benzotriazol-4-amine, also known as 4-amino-1H-benzotriazole, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H6N4. It is a white to off-white solid that is commonly used as a corrosion inhibitor and anti-oxidant in a variety of industrial applications, including the production of fuels, lubricants, and metalworking fluids. It works by forming a protective layer on metal surfaces, preventing corrosion and degradation caused by exposure to air and moisture. It is also used as a stabilizer in the production of plastics and polymers to extend their shelf life and improve their thermal stability.
