General Description

Fmoc-PNA-C(Bhoc)-OH is a chemical compound used in the field of medicinal chemistry and molecular biology. It is a peptide nucleic acid (PNA) derivative, consisting of a PNA backbone with a fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl (Fmoc) protecting group at the N-terminus and a 2-(1H-benzotriazole-1-yl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyluronium hexafluorophosphate (HBTU) activated carboxylic acid at the C-terminus. The base, N-(9H-fluoren-9-ylmethoxycarbonyl)-N-(2-iodoethoxy-carbonyl)glycine ((9H-fluoren-9-ylmethoxycarbonyl)glycine, abbreviated as Bhoc) is also incorporated for stability.
