AC-VEID-AMC is a chemical compound consisting of a specific sequence of amino acids (alanine-cysteine-valine-glutamic acid-isoleucine-aspartic acid-7-amino-4-methylcoumarin). It is commonly used as a substrate for caspase enzymes, particularly caspase-6 and caspase-8, in laboratory research involving apoptosis (programmed cell death) and proteolytic cleavage.
