General Description
3-Methoxyestra-1,3,5(10),8-tetraen-17beta-ol, also known as 3-Methoxy-17β-estradiol, is a synthetic derivative of the hormone estrogen. It is a methoxy-substituted estrogen with potential antiangiogenic and antineoplastic activities. This chemical has been researched for its potential use in cancer treatment, particularly in breast and ovarian cancers, as well as in the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, and its antiangiogenic properties make it a promising candidate for cancer therapy. Additionally, it has been studied for its potential neuroprotective effects after neuronal injury. Overall, 3-Methoxyestra-1,3,5(10),8-tetraen-17beta-ol has shown promise in various medical applications, particularly in the treatment and prevention of cancer.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2919-30-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,9,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2919-30:
(6*2)+(5*9)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*3)+(1*0)=94
94 % 10 = 4
So 2919-30-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, (2008/06/13)
The preparation of 13-methylgon-4-enes and novel 13-polycarbonalkylgon-4-enes by a new total synthesis is described. 13-Alkylgon-4-enes having progestational, anabolic and androgenic activities are prepared by forming a tetracylic gonane structure unsaturated in the 1,3,5(10),9(11) and 14-positions, selectively reducing in the B- and C-rings, and converting the aromatic A-ring compounds so-produced to gon-4-enes by Birch reduction and hydrolysis.
