PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method that makes it possible to conveniently and efficiently obtain an asymmetric diarylamine that is a partial skeleton of a compound useful as organic EL hole transport materials. SOLUTION: A diarylamine (Ar1, Ar2) and a Grignard reagent are reacted to protect an NH group, and then an aryl halide (Ar3) is reacted in the presence of a nickel catalyst, thus producing an asymmetric diarylamine represented by formula (1).
