A series of benzamide-dioxoisoindoline derivatives 3 was obtained, starting from phthalic anhydride and different benzoyl hydrazides 2, by ultrasound irradiation in water as solvent and without any catalyst. Five obtained compounds have been reported in this study for the first time and crystal structure of compound 3h was determined. All compounds were subjected to experimental determination of their antioxidative potential. DPPH test revealed that newly synthesized phenolic compounds 3d, 3e, and 3j are the best antioxidants. Additionally, probable radical scavenging pathway was analysed for reactions of the most active compounds and some radicals that can be found in living cells.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a conveying condition of a thin plate to be conveyed in a conveying direction by being lifted from the conveying surface without requiring previous complicated preparation. ?SOLUTION: A space between a thin plate W to be conveyed by a lifting/conveying device 10 and a conveying surface S is scanned over the whole of a conveying direction X by scanning light L from one or more laser heads 3 and, by reflection light R of the scanning light L form an object present on an optical path of the scanning light L, the direction and distance of the object from the laser head(s) 3 of output source(s) of the scanning light L are specified. By the specified direction and distance, the contact part of the thin plate W to the conveying surface S and the location of a structure of a conveying unit 11 are specified.
