6522-74-3 Usage
Description
Reactive Orange 1 is a bright orange dye that appears as a yellow light red powder. It has a solubility of 100 g/L at 50°C and exhibits good levelness in dyeing fibers in an alkaline medium within the temperature range of 20 to 40°C. The dye is resistant to alkaline hydrolysis but not to acid hydrolysis. In strong sulfuric acid, it turns red and becomes red-orange when diluted. In nitric acid, it turns orange and remains unchanged upon dilution. Its aqueous solution is orange, and upon the addition of sodium hydroxide, it turns a bit deep red. Further addition of insurance powder and warming results in a light yellow color, which cannot be reverted by the addition of sodium boric acid.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Reactive Orange 1 is used as a dye for cotton, wool, silk, nylon, and viscose fiber yarns and fabrics. It is suitable for dyeing or disseminating, exhibiting high affinity. It is also used for direct and resist printing on viscose fabric.
Standard:
The light fastness, oxygen bleaching, perspiration fastness, and soaping of Reactive Orange 1 are rated as follows:
Light Fastness: ISO 4-5
Oxygen Bleaching: ISO 3
Perspiration Fastness: ISO 3-4
Soaping: ISO 4-5
Fading: ISO 3
Stain: ISO 3-4
Preparation
2-Aminobenzenesulfonic acid diazo, and 7-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid?coupling, and then again with 2,4,6-Trichloro-1,3,5-triazine?condensation.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6522-74-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,5,2 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6522-74:
(6*6)+(5*5)+(4*2)+(3*2)+(2*7)+(1*4)=93
93 % 10 = 3
So 6522-74-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
