Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 72827-08-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,2,8,2 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 72827-08:
(7*7)+(6*2)+(5*8)+(4*2)+(3*7)+(2*0)+(1*8)=138
138 % 10 = 8
So 72827-08-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

New Sweet Tasting Oxathiazinone Dioxides
Clauss, Karl
, p. 494 - 502 (2007/10/02)
Starting from 4-substituted tert-butyl acetoacetates and fluorosulfonyl isocyanate new oxathiazinone dioxides 6 were prepared and examined for their relative sweetness.Examples are the 6-halomethyl, 6-alkoxymethyl, 6-acetoxymethyl and the 6-hydroxymethyl compounds. - From chloroacetone the 5-chloro-6-methyl derivative 8 was obtained, the sweetness of which is surprisingly intense.
