88832-06-8 Usage

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 88832-06-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,8,8,3 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 88832-06:
(7*8)+(6*8)+(5*8)+(4*3)+(3*2)+(2*0)+(1*6)=168
168 % 10 = 8
So 88832-06-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Amino acids and peptides. IX. Synthesis of cysteine-containing peptide fragments related to human hepatic metallothionein II (hMT II) and determination of their heavy metal-binding properties

Ohta,Okada,Tanaka

, p. 3094 - 3103 (2007/10/02)

Eight kinds of cysteine-containing peptides related to human hepatic metallothionein were synthesized by conventional methods. The metal-binding properties of these peptides with Zn2+ and Cd2+ were indicated by an increase of ultraviolet absorbance resulting from mercaptide formation. The Cd-binding activities of various peptides obtained here were assessed by measuring the increase in absorbance of mercaptide at 250 mm as a function of the concentration of Cd. The binding abilities of the peptides with Cd differed substantially.
