Usage

Description

Pigment Yellow 176 is an organic pigment that appears as a yellow powder with a reddish shade. It has a specific surface area of 30 m2/g, a density of 1.60 g/cm3, and a particle size of 250 μm max. It has a water solubility of 1.0% max and a volatile content of 1.0% max at 105 °C. The pigment has a heat resistance of 180 °C min, light fastness of 6-7, acid resistance of 5, alkali resistance of 5, and fastness to bleeding of 4. It has an oil absorption of 40-50% and a tinting strength of 100-105%.

Uses

Used in Lithographic Inks:
Pigment Yellow 176 is used as a colorant in lithographic inks due to its yellow color, heat resistance, and light fastness properties. Its acid and alkali resistance also make it suitable for use in inks that may come into contact with various chemicals.
