The invention discloses a synthetic method of a sun-screening agent intermediate terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid. The synthetic method comprises the following steps: adding DL-camphorsulfonic acid and alkali into a first solvent, carrying out heating until no solid is precipitated in the reaction system, and then adding a catalyst; thermally dissolving terephthalaldehyde in a second solvent, and dropwise adding the mixed solution into the reaction system to change the color of the reaction system from faint yellow to yellow brown, heating the reaction system to reflux after the terephthalaldehyde is completely added, starting dispersing the precipitate, and stopping heating after the precipitate is completely dispersed; and carrying out cooling, filtering the precipitate, and carrying out washing and drying to obtain a terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid crude product. According to the method, production of EKS is converted from a simple production mode to a production-conservation environment-friendly production mode.
