microcrystalline wax is a refined mixture of solid, saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons, and produced by de-oiling certain fractions from the petroleum refining process. microcrystalline waxes differ from refined paraffin wax in that the molecular structure is more branched and the hydrocarbon chains are longer (higher molecular weight). as a result the crystal structure of microcrystalline wax is much finer than paraffin wax, and this directly impacts many of the physical properties. microcrystalline waxes are tougher, more flexible and generally higher in melting point than paraffin wax.

microcrystalline wax differs from paraffin wax in that the crystal structure is more branched and the carbon chain is longer. this wax is tougher, more flexible and has a higher tensile strength and melting point. it is are also more adhesive, and its binds to solvents, oil, etc..., and thus prevents the sweating out of compositions. the typical oil content by weight is between 0.5 and 2%.

application fields:

tires, conveyor belts, etc., all kinds of rubber products for high temperature applications. it can be used with chemical antioxidant to extend the scope of protection and to improve the protective effect.

aapplications:

1) granular product suitable for use with automatic and manual measurement, in order to ensure dispersion, it is recommended to join in the initial mixing.

2) this product is recommended to use in the internal mixer. the application in the open mill, it is recommended the mixing temperature should exceed the melting point above 10 °c.

3) tire formula recommended dosage 1-4phr, conveyor belts with 2-6phr, in other rubber products based on experimental results to determine. the recommended maximum dosage is 10phr.

storage:

stored at room temperature (0-35 °c), in cool, dry and ventilated place, avoid from sun exposure. if stored at higher temperatures, caking and agglomerating may occur, but does not affect its performance.
