 Benzyl butyrate (CAS NO.103-37-7) is mainly used in the preparation of pears, apricots, Li and other flavor and essence of the coordination agent .

Benzyl butyrate Production

 Benzyl butyrate (CAS NO.103-37-7) can be obtained with butyric acid and benzyl alcohol in sulfuric acid-catalyzed preparation: or it can be derived with mixture of Butyric acid, Sodium butyrate and Benzyl chloride in an enclosed container and then heated to 200 ℃ for 2h.

Benzyl butyrate Specification

 Benzyl butyrate ,its cas register number is 103-37-7.It is a peripherally-acting aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (AAAD) or DOPA decarboxylase inhibitor, which is unable to cross the blood-brain barrier, and also can be called Butanoic acid, phenylmethyl ester ; Phenylmethyl butanoate ; Phenylmethyl butyrate ; Butyric acid, benzyl ester and Benzyl n-butanoate
Benzylsuccinate .It is hazardous,so the first aid measures and others should be known.Such as: When on the skin: first,should  flush skin with plenty of water immediately for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing. Secondly,Get shoesmedical aid . Or in the eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids.Then get medical aid soon.While ,it's Inhaled: Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately.And as soon as to get medical aid.
