Uses of Benzylidenemalononitrile: it can be used to produce benzyl-malononitrile by heating. It will need reagent 2-phenylthiazoline and solvent ethanol with the reaction time of 5 hours. This reaction will also need catalyst AlCl₃. The yield is about 98%.
