PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of carboxylate ester and a catalyst capable of manufacturing carboxylate ester by a transesterification of a diol compound and methyl methacrylate. SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of carboxylate ester provides carboxylate ester by conducting transesterification of methyl methacrylate and a diol compound in the presence of a catalyst active species represented by the formula (1):[R1R2R3R4 P]+[OR5]-, wherein R1 to R4 are each independently an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or an aryl group, R5 is an alkyl group or an aryl group, or a catalyst active species represented by the formula (2):[R6R7R8R9 N]+[OR10]-, wherein R6 to R9 are each independently an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or an aryl group, and R10 is an alkyl group or an aryl group. - METHOD FOR PRODUCING BUTANEDIOL DIMETHACRYLATES

The present invention relates to a process for preparing butanediol dimethacrylates, which comprises the transesterification of butanediol with an ester of methacrylic acid in the presence of catalysts, wherein a combination comprising at least one lithium compound and at least one calcium compound is used as catalyst, at least one of the compounds of lithium and/or of calcium is an oxide, a hydroxide, an alkoxide having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a carboxylate having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and at least part of the reaction is carried out in the presence of an effective amount of water. The process of the invention makes a particularly inexpensive preparation of butanediol dimethacrylates having a very high purity possible.

A polymer electrolyte-forming composition containing (A) a quaternary ammonium salt of general formula (1) below and (B) an ionic liquid can be converted into a polymer without compromising the excellent properties of the ionic liquid, thus enabling an electrolyte having an excellent safety and electrical conductivity and also a broad potential window to be obtained. In formula (1), R1 to R3 are each independently an alkyl group of 1 to 5 carbons or a substituent having a reactive unsaturated bond and any two from among R1 to R3 may together form a ring, and R4 is methyl, ethyl or a substituent having a reactive unsaturated bond, with the proviso that at least one of R1 to R4 is a substituent having a reactive unsaturated bond. X is a monovalent anion, the letter m is an integer from 1 to 8, and the letter n is an integer from 1 to 4.
