Spectroscopy and Dynamics of p-Nitrophenylchlorocarbene
The absolute rate constants for the reaction of p-nitrophenylchlorocarbene with pyridine and tetramethylethylene were found to be respectively 7.5*109 and 2.9*109 l mol-1 s-1.
Solvent and Substituent Effects on the Reaction of Phenylchlorocarbene with Pyridine
The absolute rate of reaction of phenylchlorocarbene with pyridine is not a function of solvent polarity but does respond to placement of polar substituents para to the carbene center.

Formation of Indolizines by the Addition of α-Chloroacrylonitrile to Pyridinium Ylides: Regioselectivity and Hammett Correlation
Cycloaddition of pyridinium ylides to α-chloroacrylonitrile give indolizines: the regioselectivity of the reaction can be rationalized in terms of nucleophilic attack by the ylides on the olefin.
