Mild synthesis of organophosphorus compounds: Reaction of phosphorus-containing carbenoids with organoboranes
Organoboranes react with phosphorus-containing carbenoids to produce a variety of functionalized organophosphorus compounds under mild conditions. In some cases, selective migration of one group atached to boron can be observed. Phosphonite-borane complexes are introduced as novel synthons for the synthesis of phosphinic esters.

Reaction of (chloromethyl)phosphonic(-phosphinic) chlorides with silylated protic nucleophiles
Reactions of (chloromethyl)phosphonic(-hosphinic) chlorides with trimethylalkoxy(-phenoxy, -dialkylamino)silanes are accompanied by elimination of trimethylchlorosilane and lead to formation of related substitution products. Reactions of bis(chloromethyl)phosphinic chloride and (chloromethyl)phosphinic dichloride with neutral and hydrogen silyl phosphites were studied. The reactions of bis(chloromethyl)phosphinic chloride with tris(trimethylsilyl)phosphite, diethyl trimethylsilyl phosphite, and bis(trimethylsilyl) hydrogen phosphite yield trimethylsilyl bis(chloromethyl)phosphinate. Similar reactions with (chloromethyl)phosphonic dichloride resulted in isolation of bis(trimethylsilyl) (chloromethyl)phosphonate.

Synthesis and Properties of Some Derivatives of (Chloromethyl)phosphonic and Bis(chloromethyl)phosphinic Acids
(Chloromethyl)phosphonic(phosphinic) chlorides were reacted with primary amines and hepta-methyldisilazane to obtain the corresponding amides. The reaction of phenyl N-methyl-N-(trimethylsilyl)-(chloromethyl)phosphonamidate with phenyl isocyanate involves intermediate formation of phosphorylated urea which undergoes cyclization into 1,4,2-diazaphospholidin-5-one. The reaction with benzaldehyde occurs by β cleavage, yielding trimethylsilyl (chloromethyl)phosphonate. Phosphorylation of amides and silylamides of (chloromethyl)phosphonic(phosphinic) acids with four-coordinate phosphorus acid chlorides was studied.
