- Polymerizable liquid crystal compound and preparation method and application thereof

The present invention relates to the field of liquid crystal display materials, and in particular relates to a novel polymerizable liquid crystal compound as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The general structure of the liquid crystal compound is shown in the description, wherein R represents alkyl with 1-10 carbon atoms or alkoxy with 1-10 carbon atoms, a ring A represents 1,4-phenylene of which 1-4 hydrogen atoms are replaced by fluorine atoms, and m is 1 or 2. The present invention also provides a liquid crystal composition comprising 0.05%-20% by weight of the above compound, and the liquid crystal composition containing the compound provided by the present invention has physical properties such as a high upper limit temperature of a nematic phase and a low minimumlimit temperature of the nematic phase, small viscosity, appropriate optical anisotropy, large dielectric anisotropy, an appropriate elastic constant and an appropriate pretilt angle, and wide application prospects.
