1,8-Dioxo-9--1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10-decahydroacridines (B4-B5) and 1,8-dioxo-9-(substituted phenyl)-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10-decahydroacridines (B6-B31) have been prepared by the condensation of substituted glucosyloxy benzaldehydes (A1-A5) and substituted benzaldehydes (A6-A31) in the presence of ammonium hydroxide using ethanol as a solvent, and their structures established by IR, PMR and mass spectral data.The compounds B1-B31 have been tested for cardiovascular, antiinflammatory, antibacterial andantiimplantation activities.
