Ruthenium titanocene and ruthenium titanium half-sandwich bimetallic complexes in catalytic cyclopropanation
The reaction of the phosphine functionalised titanium half-sandwich complexes 7, 9 and 10 with the binuclear complex [(p-cymene)RuCl 2]2 allowed the access to three new early-late bimetallic complexes (p-cymene)[(μ-η5:ηsu

Functionally substituted derivatives of (η5-cyclopentadienyl)triisopropoxytitanium and (η5-cyclopentadienyl)trichlorotitanium
A series of new functionally substituted (η5-cyclopentadienyl)titanium trichlorides and triisopropoxides are described. (η5-Pentaphenylcyclopentadienyl)- and (η5-diphenylphosphinylcyclopentadienyl)titanium triisopropoxide (2) have been obtained in good yield from reactions of (C5Ph5)Na and (C5H4PPh2)Li, respectively, with chlorotitanium triisopropoxide.Treatment of 1 with hydrogen chloride in refluxing toluene forms (η5-pentaphenylcyclopentadienyl)titanium trichloride (6) in quantitative yield. (η5-N,N-Dimethylaminocyclopentadienyl)titanium trichloride is produced in 54percent yield from a reaction between equimolar amounts of (C5H4NMe2)Li and titanium tetrachloride in pentane solution.A reaction between titanium tetrachloride and carbomethoxytrimethylsilylcyclopentadiene, formed from (C5H4CO2Me)Na and C1SiMe3, produces (η5-carbomethoxycyclopentadienyl)titanium trichloride in 78percent yield.
