The invention discloses a preparation method of foramsulfuron, which comprises the following steps: (1) adding sodium cyanate, 2-(dimethylaminoformyl)-5-formamidobenzenesulfonyl chloride and a solvent into a reaction device, stirring, then adding a catalyst, and continuously stirring for reaction; (2) adding 2-amino-4, 6-dimethoxypyrimidine into the reaction device, and continuously stirring for reaction; and (3) carrying out post-treatment to obtain foramsulfuron. The atom utilization rate is high, and the target product yield and purity are high; the dosage of the used catalyst is small, so that the cost is reduced, and the pollution to the environment is small.
