- O-ethyl-S-n-propyl-(3-ethyl-2-cyano-imine-1-imidazole) process for synthesis of phosphate esters
-
The invention relates to a synthetic process of O-ethyl-S-n-proply-(3-ethyl-2-cyano imine-1-imidazole) phosphate. The process comprises the following steps of: 1) synthesis of O-ethyl-S-n-proply-S-propyl phosphoryl chloride; 2) synthesis of 1-ethyl-2-(N-cyano imine) imidazole; and 3) synthesis of O-ethyl-S-n-proply-(3-ethyl-2-cyano imine-1-imidazole) phosphate. The process provided by the invention has the beneficial effects that the reaction step and time are shortened, the yield is improved from 50% to over 70%, and the total yield is improved; according to the process, potassium carbonate replaces flammable and combustible sodium hydride, so that the reaction condition is more mild and the production process is safer; based on dipropyl dithio and phosphorus trichloride as initial raw materials, S-n-proply phosphoryl dichloride is synthesized and reacted with ethanol to obtain O-ethyl-S-n-propyl-phosphoryl chloride; the line is short and the raw material is easy to get with less wastewater, and the method is suitable for industrialization.

- Fate of14C-ethyl profenofos in soybean seeds and oils, residueremoval, bioavailability, toxicityand protective action of cinnamon extract towards experimental Animals
-
THE TOPICAL application of 14C- profenofos on soybean plant led to the appearance of 10 ppm 14C-residues in the dry seeds at harvest time. Commercial processing procedures led to a gradual decrease in the total amount of 14C-residues in oils. The complete refined oil from treated seeds lost about 80% of the total 14C-residues. The major part of 14C-residues after feeding rats with the extracted soybean seeds for 72 hr was eliminated via expired air (45%) while radioactivity in urine and feces accounted for 18% and 12% of the taken 14C- residues, respectively. The results revealed that profenofos residues induced abnormal hepatic and renal function which was remarkably attenuated with co-administration of water extract of cinnamon powder thereby suppressed the deviation in the liver and kidney function markers. From the present investigation it can be concluded that the used plant extract exerted prophylactic beneficial action against profenofos induced hepatic and renal damage via its antioxdating potential effects.
