Uses

Used in Ophthalmology:
Deterenol Hydrochloride is used as a hypotensive agent for the treatment of ocular hypertension. It is effective in reducing intraocular pressure (IOP) in a manner similar to epinephrine bitartrate, but at approximately twice the concentration used clinically for epinephrine.
In this application, Deterenol Hydrochloride serves as an alternative to traditional hypotensive agents, offering a nonmydriatic and nonmiotic approach to managing increased intraocular pressure, which can be beneficial for patients with specific conditions or sensitivities.
