Uses
Used in Analytical Chemistry:
ADAMANTANE-D16 is used as an internal standard for the quantification of adamantane by gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography (LC) mass spectrometry. Its incorporation of deuterium atoms allows for accurate measurement and comparison of the target compound's concentration in a given sample.
Used in Pharmaceutical Applications:
ADAMANTANE-D16 serves as a key component in the fast catalytic hydroxylation of hydrocarbons with ruthenium porphyrins. This process is essential in the synthesis of various pharmaceutical compounds.
Additionally, unlabeled adamantane derivatives, which are structurally similar to ADAMANTANE-D16, have been used to treat influenza and act as N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor channel blockers. These blockers have a wide range of pharmaceutical applications, including the treatment of neurological disorders and pain management.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 30470-60-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,0,4,7 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 30470-60:
(7*3)+(6*0)+(5*4)+(4*7)+(3*0)+(2*6)+(1*0)=81
81 % 10 = 1
So 30470-60-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

We have accomplished an efficient and mild multiple deuteration method for alkanes catalyzed by the combined use of heterogeneous platinum on carbon (Pt/C) and rhodium on carbon (Rh/C) catalysts in i-PrOD-d8 and D2O as a mixed solvent. The present multi-deuteration could be initiated by the transition metal-catalyzed dedeuteration of i-PrOD-d8 to produce D2 and the subsequent C-H bond activation of alkanes catalyzed by the Pt/C and/or Rh/C-D2 complex. This method could be applied to the deuteration of wide variety of linear, branched and cyclic alkanes as useful deuterated materials under mild conditions. This journal is
