502693-09-6 Usage
Uses
Used in Photovoltaic Industry:
cis-bis(isothiocycanato)-(2,2'-bipyridyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid)-(2,2'-bipyridyl-4,4'-dinonyl) rutheniuM(II) is used as a high-performance dye for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) for the sensitization of Titania. Its hydrophobic character, due to the presence of C9 alkyl chains, plays a crucial role in improving the efficiency and performance of the solar cells.
Used in Research and Development:
cis-bis(isothiocycanato)-(2,2'-bipyridyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid)-(2,2'-bipyridyl-4,4'-dinonyl) rutheniuM(II) is also used in research and development for the study of charge carrier recombination, thermal stability, and the development of new materials and technologies in the field of photovoltaics.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 502693-09-6 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 5,0,2,6,9 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 502693-09:
(8*5)+(7*0)+(6*2)+(5*6)+(4*9)+(3*3)+(2*0)+(1*9)=136
136 % 10 = 6
So 502693-09-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING HETEROLEPTIC RUTHENIUM COMPLEX COMPOUNDS
-
Paragraph 0055-0057; 0068-0069, (2016/12/01)
Provided is a method for synthesizing heteroleptic ruthenium complex compound dyes, the method including the steps of (a) putting, in a first reactor, one or more solvents selected from a group consisting of a ruthenium(III) chloride hydrate, N-methylpyrrolidone, dimethylformamide and dimethylacetylamide, and a compound represented by chemical formula 1 below to be reacted; (b) putting, in a second reactor, one or more solvents selected from a group consisting of 2,2′-bipyridine-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid, N-methylpyrrolidone, dimethylformamide and dimethylacetylamide to be maintained at 120-150°C; (c) adding reaction solution of the first reactor in the second reactor to be maintained and reacted at 120-150°C; and (d) adding thiocyanic acid ammonium salts or a third ligand in the reaction solution of step (c) to be reacted and cooling the reactor. [Chemical formula 1] R and R′ are respectively independently hydrogen or an alkyl group of C1 to C20.
