- DEHYDRATION OF CuSr2(HCOO)6 multiplied by (times) 8H2O: A CRYSTALLOGRAPHIC STUDY.
-
The isothermal dehydration of CuSr//2(HCOO)//6 multiplied by (times) 8H//2O single crystals as well as powdered material has been followed by several techniques, mainly X-ray diffraction and optical microscopy. Evidence was found of a two-stage process, with an early appearance of an amorphous state (attributed to internal dissolution) and further recrystallization of the stable phases. One of these (CuSr(HCOO)//4, monoclinic, P//c, Z equals 2, a equals 7. 345(10) A, b equals 8. 692(15) A, c equals 6. 702(10) A, beta equals 97. 25(5) degree has not been reported so far in the literature. A striking metric match between both (hk0) sections, as well as the absence of any common structural motive, suggest an inner epitactic growth as the most probable mechanism for the transformation.

- The Cd(HCOO)2-Sr(HCOO)2-H2O system at 25 and 50°C
-
The solubility in the Cd(HCOO)2-Sr(HCOO)2-H2O system has been studied by the method of physico-chemical analysis at 25 and 50°C. It has been established that only simple salts crystallize in the system at 25°C. A congruent double salt with composition CdSr(HCOO)4.H2O is formed in the system at 50°C. The thermal dehydration and decomposition of the new compound have been investigated by TG, DTA and DSC. The enthalpy of dehydration of CdSr(HCOO)4.H2O has been determined.
