Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 679789-44-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 6,7,9,7,8 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 679789-44:
(8*6)+(7*7)+(6*9)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*9)+(2*4)+(1*4)=257
257 % 10 = 7
So 679789-44-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

(2-Ethyl-5-oxo-hexyl) Methylthiomethyl Phthalate as By-product of the Swern Oxidation: Improved Synthesis of Ring-deuterated Major Metabolites of Bis(2-ethylhexyl) Phthalate

, p. 1207 - 1213 (2007/10/03)
Two ring-deuterated major metabolites of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate were obtained in excellent yields by means of an improved oxidation procedure. The by-product of their interconversion by Swern oxidation is elucidated and a possible mechanism of its formation is proposed.
