Uses
Used in Law Enforcement and Military Applications:
2-Amino-2'-chloroacetophenone is used as a riot control agent for its ability to cause intense irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, leading to involuntary responses such as tearing, sneezing, coughing, and a burning sensation. This property makes it an effective tool for crowd control and non-lethal force in law enforcement and military operations.
Used in Chemical Defense Research:
Due to its toxic and irritating properties, 2-Amino-2'-chloroacetophenone is also utilized in the development and testing of chemical defense mechanisms and equipment. This includes the creation of protective gear, filters, and detection systems designed to counteract the effects of such irritants in various scenarios.
Regulatory Considerations:
Given the potential hazards associated with 2-Amino-2'-chloroacetophenone, its production, distribution, and use are subject to strict regulations and restrictions in many countries. This ensures that its application remains primarily within the confines of authorized law enforcement and military use, minimizing the risk of misuse or accidental exposure to the public.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 743357-99-5 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 7,4,3,3,5 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 743357-99:
(8*7)+(7*4)+(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*5)+(3*7)+(2*9)+(1*9)=185
185 % 10 = 5
So 743357-99-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A novel series of nonnucleoside HCV NS5B polymerase inhibitors were prepared from (2Z)-2-(benzoylamino)-3-(5-phenyl-2-furyl)acrylic acid, a high throughput screening lead. SAR studies combined with structure based drug design focusing on the southern heterobiaryl region of the template led to the synthesis of several potent and orally bioavailable lead compounds. X-ray crystallography studies were also performed to understand the interaction of these inhibitors with HCV NS5B polymerase.
