Structures of a novel phosphoric triamide and its organotin(IV) complex
A new phosphoric triamide 4-NO2C6H 4NHP(O)(NC4H8O)2 (1) and its organotin(IV) complex SnCl(C6H5)3[4-NO 2C6H4NHP(O)(NC4H8O) 2] (2) were synthesized and characterized by 31P, 1H, 13C NMR, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The crystal structures of compounds 1 and 2 were determined by X-ray crystallography. Both compounds crystallize in monoclinic crystal system with P21/n space group. The structure of 1 contains two symmetrically independent molecules while for 2 only one independent molecule is present with a five-coordinated tin(IV) in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal configuration. Strong intermolecular N-Ha?O and N-Ha?Cl hydrogen bonds together with weak intermolecular C-Ha?O hydrogen bonds connect molecules of 1 and 2 into 3D networks. Both compounds were also prepared as nanoparticles of the size 15-20 nm and a spherical morphology, as confirmed by SEM micrographs.
