Acyloxylation of 1,4-Dioxanes and 1,4-Dithianes Catalyzed by a Copper-Iron Mixed Oxide
The use of a copper-iron mixed oxide as a heterogeneous catalyst for the efficient synthesis of α-acyloxy-1,4-dioxanes and 1,4-dithianes employing t-butyl peroxyesters is reported. The preparation and characterization of the catalyst are described. The ef

Copper-Catalyzed Formation of C-O Bonds by Oxidative Coupling of Benzylic Alcohols with Ethers
The copper-catalyzed formation of C-O bonds by oxidative coupling of benzylic alcohols with ethers was realized in open air. A series of α-acyloxy ethers were obtained in good yields with aqueous tert-butyl hydroperoxide as the oxidant. Bu4NI-catalyzed C-O bond formation by using a cross-dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) reaction
The creme de la creme! A practical and simple Bu 4NI-catalyzed C-O bond formation was achieved by using a cross-dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) reaction with tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as the ultimate oxidant (see scheme; R1=aryl
